Questions

About naam jap

Why 108 beads?

A traditional japa mala has 108 beads plus the sumeru (guru bead). 108 is considered sacred in Hindu and Buddhist traditions — one round of the mala is one “mala” of jap.

How does voice counting work?

Turn on voice counting and chant aloud. Your browser listens (nothing is recorded or sent to BhaktiVerse) and every time it hears the mantra word, the next bead moves.

Is my count saved?

Yes — your current count and your lifetime total are kept on this device, so you can close the page and continue later.
