History

BAPS bought a 29-acre plot in Lilburn in February 2000. The foundation stones were laid in June 2004, construction began in September 2005, and in March 2006 a specialised crane went up to lift the carved stone into place.

More than 34,000 pieces carved in India were assembled into a traditional mandir, which Pramukh Swami Maharaj inaugurated on 26 August 2007, a few weeks after the Toronto mandir. In 2021 the campus hosted COVID-19 vaccination drives run by BAPS Charities.
