आरती कीजै हनुमान लला की। दुष्ट दलन रघुनाथ कला की॥

Aarti keejai Hanuman Lala ki, Dusht dalan Raghunath kala ki.

Let us offer aarti to beloved Hanuman, crusher of the wicked, the very power of Shri Raghunath.

जाके बल से गिरिवर कांपे। रोग दोष जाके निकट न झांके॥ अंजनि पुत्र महा बलदाई। संतन के प्रभु सदा सहाई॥

Jaake bal se girivar kaanpe, Rog dosh jaake nikat na jhaanke. Anjani putra maha baldaai, Santan ke prabhu sada sahaai.

Mountains tremble at his strength; disease and evil dare not come near him. The son of Anjana, giver of great strength, is the ever-present helper of the saints.

दे बीरा रघुनाथ पठाए। लंका जारि सिया सुधि लाए॥ लंका सो कोट समुद्र सी खाई। जात पवनसुत बार न लाई॥

De beera Raghunath pathaae, Lanka jaari Siya sudhi laae. Lanka so kot samudra si khaai, Jaat Pavansut baar na laai.

Raghunath sent him off with the betel of honour; he burnt Lanka and brought back news of Sita. Lanka was a fortress with the ocean for its moat, yet the son of the Wind took no time to cross it.

लंका जारि असुर संहारे। सियारामजी के काज संवारे॥ लक्ष्मण मूर्छित पड़े सकारे। आनि संजीवन प्राण उबारे॥

Lanka jaari asur sanhaare, Siya-Ramji ke kaaj sanvaare. Lakshman moorchhit pade sakaare, Aani sanjeevan praan ubaare.

He burnt Lanka, destroyed the demons and accomplished the work of Sita and Ram. When Lakshman lay unconscious, he brought the sanjeevani herb and saved his life.

पैठि पाताल तोरि जम कारे। अहिरावण की भुजा उखारे॥ बाएं भुजा असुर दल मारे। दाहिने भुजा संतजन तारे॥

Paithi pataal tori jam kaare, Ahiravan ki bhuja ukhaare. Baayen bhuja asur dal maare, Daahine bhuja santjan taare.

Entering the netherworld, he broke the prison of death and tore off Ahiravana's arms. With his left arm he struck down the demon army; with his right he saved the saints.

सुर नर मुनि आरती उतारें। जय जय जय हनुमान उचारें॥ कंचन थार कपूर लौ छाई। आरती करत अंजना माई॥

Sur nar muni aarti utaaren, Jai jai jai Hanuman uchaaren. Kanchan thaar kapoor lau chhaai, Aarti karat Anjana maai.

Gods, humans and sages wave the aarti and cry, Victory, victory, victory to Hanuman! On a golden plate the camphor flame spreads its light, as Mother Anjana herself performs his aarti.

जो हनुमानजी की आरती गावै। बसि बैकुंठ परम पद पावै॥ लंक विध्वंस किए रघुराई। तुलसीदास प्रभु कीरति गाई॥

Jo Hanumanji ki aarti gaavai, Basi Baikunth param pad paavai. Lank vidhvans kiye Raghuraai, Tulsidas prabhu keerti gaai.

Whoever sings Hanuman ji's aarti lives in Vaikuntha and attains the highest state. Raghurai destroyed Lanka, and Tulsidas has sung the glory of the Lord.
