ब्रह्ममुरारिसुरार्चितलिङ्गं निर्मलभासितशोभितलिङ्गम्। जन्मजदुःखविनाशकलिङ्गं तत्प्रणमामि सदाशिवलिङ्गम्॥

Brahma-murari-surarchita-lingam nirmala-bhasita-shobhita-lingam, Janmaja-duhkha-vinashaka-lingam tat pranamami Sadashiva-lingam.

The linga worshipped by Brahma, Vishnu and the gods, shining pure and radiant, which destroys the sorrow born of birth: I bow to that linga of Sadashiva.

देवमुनिप्रवरार्चितलिङ्गं कामदहं करुणाकरलिङ्गम्। रावणदर्पविनाशनलिङ्गं तत्प्रणमामि सदाशिवलिङ्गम्॥

Deva-muni-pravararchita-lingam kamadaham karunakara-lingam, Ravana-darpa-vinashana-lingam tat pranamami Sadashiva-lingam.

The linga worshipped by gods and the greatest sages, which burnt Kamadeva, the treasury of compassion, which crushed Ravana's pride: I bow to that linga of Sadashiva.

सर्वसुगन्धिसुलेपितलिङ्गं बुद्धिविवर्धनकारणलिङ्गम्। सिद्धसुरासुरवन्दितलिङ्गं तत्प्रणमामि सदाशिवलिङ्गम्॥

Sarva-sugandhi-sulepita-lingam buddhi-vivardhana-karana-lingam, Siddha-surasura-vandita-lingam tat pranamami Sadashiva-lingam.

The linga anointed with every fragrance, the cause of the growth of wisdom, saluted by siddhas, gods and demons: I bow to that linga of Sadashiva.

कनकमहामणिभूषितलिङ्गं फणिपतिवेष्टितशोभितलिङ्गम्। दक्षसुयज्ञविनाशनलिङ्गं तत्प्रणमामि सदाशिवलिङ्गम्॥

Kanaka-mahamani-bhooshita-lingam phanipati-veshtita-shobhita-lingam, Daksha-suyajna-vinashana-lingam tat pranamami Sadashiva-lingam.

The linga adorned with gold and great jewels, beautiful with the king of serpents coiled around it, which destroyed Daksha's grand sacrifice: I bow to that linga of Sadashiva.

कुङ्कुमचन्दनलेपितलिङ्गं पङ्कजहारसुशोभितलिङ्गम्। सञ्चितपापविनाशनलिङ्गं तत्प्रणमामि सदाशिवलिङ्गम्॥

Kunkuma-chandana-lepita-lingam pankaja-hara-sushobhita-lingam, Sanchita-papa-vinashana-lingam tat pranamami Sadashiva-lingam.

The linga smeared with kumkum and sandal, lovely with garlands of lotuses, which destroys accumulated sins: I bow to that linga of Sadashiva.

देवगणार्चितसेवितलिङ्गं भावैर्भक्तिभिरेव च लिङ्गम्। दिनकरकोटिप्रभाकरलिङ्गं तत्प्रणमामि सदाशिवलिङ्गम्॥

Deva-ganarchita-sevita-lingam bhavair-bhaktibhir-eva cha lingam, Dinakara-koti-prabhakara-lingam tat pranamami Sadashiva-lingam.

The linga worshipped and served by hosts of gods with true feeling and devotion, radiant as ten million suns: I bow to that linga of Sadashiva.

अष्टदलोपरिवेष्टितलिङ्गं सर्वसमुद्भवकारणलिङ्गम्। अष्टदरिद्रविनाशितलिङ्गं तत्प्रणमामि सदाशिवलिङ्गम्॥

Ashta-dalopari-veshtita-lingam sarva-samudbhava-karana-lingam, Ashta-daridra-vinashita-lingam tat pranamami Sadashiva-lingam.

The linga encircled by the eight-petalled lotus, the cause of all creation, which destroys the eight kinds of poverty: I bow to that linga of Sadashiva.

सुरगुरुसुरवरपूजितलिङ्गं सुरवनपुष्पसदार्चितलिङ्गम्। परात्परं परमात्मकलिङ्गं तत्प्रणमामि सदाशिवलिङ्गम्॥

Suraguru-suravara-poojita-lingam suravana-pushpa-sadarchita-lingam, Paratparam paramatmaka-lingam tat pranamami Sadashiva-lingam.

The linga worshipped by Brihaspati and the best of the gods, always offered flowers from the celestial gardens, higher than the highest, the very Supreme Self: I bow to that linga of Sadashiva.

लिङ्गाष्टकमिदं पुण्यं यः पठेच्छिवसन्निधौ। शिवलोकमवाप्नोति शिवेन सह मोदते॥

Lingashtakam-idam punyam yah pathech-Chhiva-sannidhau, Shivalokam-avapnoti Shivena saha modate.

Whoever recites this holy Lingashtakam in Shiva's presence attains Shiva's abode and rejoices with Shiva.
