अरिकुल पद्म विनाशिनि, जय सेवक त्राता। जग जीवन जगदम्बा, हरिहर गुण गाता॥

Arikul padma vinashini, jai sevak trata, Jag jivan Jagdamba, Harihar gun gata.

Destroyer of the hosts of enemies, victory to you, protector of your servants. Jagdamba, life of the world, Vishnu and Shiva sing your praises.

सिंह को वाहन साजे, कुण्डल हैं साथा। देव वधू जस गावत, नृत्य करत ताथा॥

Sinh ko vahan saaje, kundal hain saatha, Dev vadhu jas gaavat, nritya karat taatha.

You ride a lion and wear shining earrings; the wives of the gods sing your glory and dance to the beat of ta-tha.

सतयुग रूप शील अतिसुन्दर, नाम सती कहलाता। हेमांचल घर जन्मी, सखियन संग राता॥

Satyug roop sheel atisundar, naam Sati kahlaata, Hemanchal ghar janmi, sakhiyan sang raata.

In the Satya age, most lovely in form and nature, you were called Sati. Then you were born in the house of the Himalaya and played happily with your friends.

शुम्भ निशुम्भ विदारे, हेमांचल स्थाता। सहस्र भुजा तनु धरि के, चक्र लियो हाथा॥

Shumbh Nishumbh vidaare, Hemanchal sthaata, Sahasra bhuja tanu dhari ke, chakra liyo haatha.

You tore apart Shumbha and Nishumbha, you who dwell on the Himalaya; taking a form with a thousand arms, you held the discus in your hand.

सृष्टि रूप तुही है जननी, शिव संग रंगराता। नन्दी भृंगी बीन लही, सारा जग मदमाता॥

Srishti roop tuhi hai janani, Shiv sang rangraata, Nandi Bhringi been lahi, saara jag madmaata.

Mother, you yourself are the form of creation, delighting in Shiva's company; when Nandi and Bhringi take up the veena, the whole world is drunk with joy.

देवन अरज करत हम, चित को लाता। गावत दे दे ताली, मन में रंगराता॥

Devan araj karat ham, chit ko laata, Gaavat de de taali, man mein rangraata.

We make our plea to you with all our heart; clapping our hands as we sing, our minds are filled with joy.

श्री प्रताप आरती मैया की, जो कोई गाता। सदा सुखी नित रहता, सुख सम्पत्ति पाता॥

Shri Pratap aarti Maiya ki, jo koi gaata, Sada sukhi nit rahta, sukh sampatti paata.

Whoever sings this aarti of the Mother's glory stays happy always and gains joy and prosperity.
