Benefits in tradition

  • Prosperity, stability and freedom from debt, alongside honest effort.
  • Harmony, grace and contentment in the family.
  • Gratitude for what one has, which tradition sees as Lakshmi's real blessing.

These are the benefits described in scripture and tradition. Mantra and prayer support, but never replace, medical or professional care.

About the Lakshmi Mantra

Maa Lakshmi, the consort of Vishnu, is the goddess of wealth in every sense: money and grain, health, beauty, harmony and grace. Her seed syllable is Shreem. Tradition says she stays where there is cleanliness, honest effort, gratitude and dharma, and leaves where there is quarrel and waste; the mantras are chanted along with keeping such a home. Fridays, the full moon of Sharad Purnima and the night of Diwali are her special times.
