इतिहास History
The temple is the work of Caru Das and his wife Vaibhavi Devi Dasi, ISKCON devotees who settled in Spanish Fork after Caru first visited Brigham Young University in 1975. Vaibhavi designed the temple after traditional Indian architecture; ground was broken on 10 November 1996, and building began on 16 February 1998.
From the start it welcomed its mostly Latter-day Saint neighbours, and the Holi celebration Caru Das began here grew into the Festival of Colors, which now draws crowds every spring. The temple also stages a Ramayana pageant with the burning of a 20-foot Ravana, and hosts weddings and guided llama walks.
